The Diploma in Olive Oil Sommelier is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a career change and involvement in the olive oil world as well as for food industry professionals seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding in olive oil and become expert olive oil tasters.

Course Information .

Diploma Overview and Study Method
The Diploma in EVOO Sommelier is an excellent choice for individuals seeking a career change and involvement in the olive oil world as well as for food industry professionals seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding in olive oil and become expert olive oil tasters.
It has five (5) unique intensive learning categories. It begins with the fundamental sensory evaluation methodology (theory and practice), then moves on to the examination of production quality, storage, and general olive oil characteristics, and concludes with tasting techniques and methodology.
Entry Criteria and Duration
We welcome students from diverse educational and working backgrounds with no strict entry criteria to the course but only with passion to learn and immerse themselves to a new and very interesting field.
The participants in the Diploma should be prepared to devote 40 hours in 8 straight educational intensive days for the completion of the program.
Study Method and Assessment
The diploma will be taught solely in English through a distance learning class formal lectures and interactive sessions. For more information, please check the course description session.
The assessment of the course will include special tests prescribed by the International Olive Council – called selective trials – in order to evaluate each candidate’s ability regarding olive oil tasting.
Qualification and Career Path
The Diploma in EVOO Sommelier provides the highly necessary armoury of knowledge and skills to the graduates, who are looking to enter to the exclusive world of olive oil tasting.
After the completion of the course, a world of new opportunities in the olive oil field will emerge.
The graduates, among other opportunities, will have the ability to offer with confidence their expertise to olive oil companies, restaurants, food academies. They will be also able to conduct private olive oil tasting sessions and create their own olive oil panel.
Teaching Method
The teaching method is online.
The candidates for the Diploma will secure a place as a Junior Taster on the Judging Team for the first round of the evaluation in Berlin GOOA on March 23, 2024
Course Fees
The fees for the Diploma is 1935€ 
We provide debit/credit card payments and bank transfer.
Registration Deadline
The deadline for registrations for the course is January 31st. 2025
Please note that to ensure the best teaching quality and overall learning experience, we have capped the number of students enrolled in the course to 25.
Therefore, once we have reached the required number of students, the registrations will be closed.
